The University of Utah kicked off their First Annual Pharmacy Cup at the South Jordan Equestrian Center to benefit the College of Pharmacy at the University of Utah. The "Dean's Demons" beat the Mark Miller Toyota sponsored team by one goal in the final chucker. All proceeds go to complete construction on the new Skaggs Research Institute at the U. Four different Pharmacy Departments have been scattered all over campus. This new building will connect with L.S. Skaggs Hall and will bring all the departments together again, facilitating collaboration and, eventually discovering new medicines. Currently, the U's College of Pharmacy is nationally ranked #2 in NIH funding. With this new building, they hope to become #1.
